CareLink Community Support Services has current openings for full-time Partial Therapists at our STAR Partial program located in Norristown, PA. This year as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary, CareLink Community Support Services has been dedicated to helping people with disabilities to live in the community with dignity and independence since 1959. Our rehabilitation services and professional staff provide the supports that people with serious mental illness, physical disabilities and other developmental challenges need to be active, productive members of their communities.

The Partial Therapist position is responsible for planning and conducting group and individual therapy on a daily basis, maintaining an individual caseload, and completing timely documentation of services. A professional demeanor is required when utilizing experience and knowledgeable expertise to work with this adult population of individuals with specialized mental health concerns, and intellectual disabilities. This position is responsible for supporting community integration. The goal of this position is to promote the pursuit of independence for all individuals participating in service. The essential functions are established based upon the agency mission, values, and goals.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: (40 Hours) Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary Range:

  • $18.00 - $20.00/hour dependent upon education
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in human services field required with 2 years job related experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Plan therapy groups for individuals with mental illness using empirically validated techniques.
  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge of basic principles and methods of recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work independently required.
  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding the health and welfare of clients required.

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan therapy groups for individuals with mental illness using empirically validated techniques.
  2. Conduct daily therapy groups.
  3. Conduct individual therapy sessions as appropriate.
  4. Respond empathetically and appropriately to individuals receiving services.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to set limits in a firm but supportive manner.
  6. Develop positive relationships with program participants.
  7. Consistently demonstrate knowledge of basic principles and methods of rehabilitation.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to use effective therapeutic techniques and strategies with persons in service.
  9. Assume the responsibility for management of a full caseload, which requires documentation, charting, consultation as appropriate and individual status reports.
  10. Complete scheduled treatment plans, progress notes, intakes and other paperwork within required time frames.
  11. Assume a liaison role with other providers, Vocational, Probation, Crisis, etc.
  12. Attend monthly case management meetings as scheduled for assigned caseload.
  13. Keep records and charts up to date at all times.
